The point is to go just far enough. Too far and you're a Republican Attack Dog. I think Lehman and Thompson have played it just right. Let the media fill in the gaps and do some digging. Of course they will. The media can — and do — any damned thing they please. Lie, cheat, steal, make up stories, make up sources, commit fraud, pretend to be objective when they're partisan as hell, nit-pick everyone else's lives while keeping their own off limits. The big three broadcast networks and the vast majority of the so-called mainstream media want GWB out of power. Even as we watch and complain, they are openly doing everything possible to defeat him.
