Man Who Killed Armed Intruder Jailed Eight Years

A man who stabbed to death an armed intruder at his home was jailed for eight years today.

Carl Lindsay, 25, answered a knock at his door in Salford, Greater Manchester, to find four men armed with a gun.

When the gang tried to rob him he grabbed a samurai sword and stabbed one of them, 37-year-old Stephen Swindells, four times.

Mr Swindells, of Salford, was later found collapsed in an alley and died in hospital.

Lindsay, of Walkden, was found guilty of manslaughter following a three-week trial at Manchester Crown Court.

He was sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment.

After the case, Detective Chief Inspector Sam Haworth said: “Four men, including the victim, had set out purposefully to rob Carl Lindsay and this intent ultimately led to Stephen Swindells’ death.

“I believe the sentences passed today reflect the severity of the circumstances.”

Three other men were charged with robbery and firearms offences in connection with the incident, which took place in February last year.

I think for all practical purposes, Communism already is in place. The government controls all property. They let us use it and as long as we don't cross them all is well. When it gets right down to it tho, anytime they decide they want to use it for whatever purpose they want, they will do so. They are still letting us manage it now for the most part. I personally believe it all started with the Northern victory in the WBTS.

For many years the government was benignly liberal in not using it's power but it had it all the same. What I am talking about it consolidation of power in one place, Washington D.C. It is now speeding up and before long will be complete.

There would be a revolution within 24 hours of such a law getting on the books

Do you really think so? I'm sorry but I have become very cynical of the sheeple and their will to do anything, where was the revolution when the courts authorized the murder of millions upon millions of unborn American citizens?

No I doubt there will be any revolution, they will just bite the pillow and ask if its over yet...but I really hope I am wrong

In England today, defense of property by force is no longer protected by the courts.

Welcome to the Marxist revolution, where no property is privately owned...

You make an excellent connection to the collectivist trend in the UK and these cases where the innocent are made guilty on the issue of defense of property. The English will pay the price with more property being rendered for use of prisons and graves.

You are wrong. There are enough Patriots and lovers of freedom who will do what is necessary to save this republic, or die trying to. There are more of us than you think, my friend.

And to think they had Churchill and Thatcher.

If I lived in Britain, my motto would be "Shoot, Shovel, and shut the hell up".

Thanks for your post re the concept of defending one's property in the UK.

If someone is busting in my door am I supposed to asked him politely if he's here for my property, or me,before I make a decision?

Should I serve him tea and talk it over?

Madness!
