I'd love to also here Dennis(?) Ross' take on this since he confirms Mansoor's version of Osama being offered to Clinton by the Sudan.

Mort Kondracke said today on Brit Hume's show that he spoke with Dennis Ross today and Ross feels Clarke is a truthful guy and is "going to wait to read the book" before making up his mind on it...

I dunno, based on what I've read today alone, there are so many holes in Clarke's tale, and so many questions raised by his comments and by what he's *not* talking about, I don't think it would be too hard to size up Clarke without reading his book first.

Also, this proves (to me at least) that our federal government is just too large and no President is really in charge. If these types of decisions had to go through so many bureaucratic levels of BS in the companies where I was in charge, heads would have rolled as I fired the idiots.

It also shows, as we all know, that Madeline Albright was totally unqualified for the position of Sec. of State and an incompetent moron. She still is.

Yeah, it seems Mr. Clarke was under the impression that he could say just whatever he wanted about the Administration as an "expert." I guess he forgot there were other experts who also had memories who would discuss his role as a counter-terrorism "expert" during a whole series of terriorist attacks on the US?
