Most clipart images of "I Love NY" carry the (R), so that part of the image was probably enlarged and printed for the sign. I believe the protest sign is real...and sick. Two shots combined of the same image:

Reg, look closely at the top and bottom edges of the sign in both pictures - those don't look right to me.

Photo on the left ....there is no shadow being casted by that sign behind the person holding it.
