Deputize this guy, sandbag his cabin, give him a .50 cal machine gun and a paycheck.

Echoes of the Wild West in one man's border war

Richard Kozak walks past the charred remains of his 24-foot travel trailer, which he placed as a roadblock on his property after drug smugglers began cutting through his land. The smugglers burned the trailer, he said.

Richard Kozak, who lives on a remote parcel four miles from Douglas and one-quarter mile from the border with Mexico, shot at the engine of a smuggler's vehicle; later, smugglers fired into his home.

This photo album stopped a bullet fired into Kozak's home by drug smugglers on Wednesday. Kozak has packed some of his belongings into his truck in case his home is torched next.

(Jose Perez, a 36-year-old Mexican waiting to cross illegally from Agua Prieta Friday night, said the rumors that illegal entrants are targets reach all the way to Mexico City. "I hope nobody shoots at me," he said.)
I hope someone who shoots dam straight shoots at you! And then like the word get back to your illegal intentioned friends that we are sick and tired of your BS.

Personnaly, I prefer dual Ma-Dueces on a tripod in his truck bed and a BAR for everything else until you get in close and then an M-3 Grease gun.

"We kind of suspect that their reaction is to his firing on them," said Rod Rothrock, a commander with the Cochise County Sheriff's Department. "You could always expect violence to instigate violence." Maybe the Sherrif's Dept could try doing their job then Kozak would have no cause to shoot.

This Kozak may singlehandedly deter more illegals then a whole pack of Ins agents. Get him some night vision gear, a box of claymores and a Ma Deuce!

He should lay down some caltrops or spike the ground that'll stop the vehicles. If he wanted to be creative he could rig a motion detector up to some spotlights and a megaphone playing a prerecorded track.
To: SandRat
Notice how the lazy, cowardly cops refuse to do anything but criticize the taxpaying American citizen for defending his property. That pig of a mayor should be impeached and sent to Mexico.
