Do the Right Thing was an excellent film, but that was 15 or so years ago, and he hasn't filmed anything worth watching since then imo, just making a living on the reputation he earned with that movie.
I'd definitely say that Spike Lee is more overrated than Bird is.

The acting was good, but the film was lame. What Korean would call himself a n***er? The stereotypical treatment of the Italians was over the top.
