And where the hell was Jim's support? The founder of FreeRepublic and his wife confront a crowd of leftists in their home town on their own and with only one other FReeper as backup?
Something wrong with that, folks. JimRob and his wife oughtn't to be left out there by themselves. Someone dropped the ball on this. Surely there are some FReepers in the Fresno area who could have stood shoulder to shoulder with him on the street.

An organizer for a protest against the war in Iraq was arrested Saturday...on allegations he interfered with a police officer. Ken Hudson [is also] a teacher at Orange Center Elementary School. This is what should have been boldfaced in the article.
If you love your children, pull them out of the Leftist-controlled indoctrination and brainwashing camps known as the Public Schools!

Men who teach in elementary schools are a bit suspicious to me.

Sort of like the old rule for COMSEC; "Trust no one save your mother, but keep one eye on her all the same."

Sheriff's Sgt. Mark Bray said the unidentified man was accused by protesters of trying to incite them and that Hudson's actions kept them from talking with the man about his behavior. So, ONE PERSON exercising his/her right to free speech was enough to unhinge these protestors, leading to the arrest of one of the "peaceniks"? Doesn't sound like these lefties can handle any opposing opinion.
To: Amerigomag; Diogenesis
Let's have some perspective about types of arrests and where they complete. (Thanks to Diogenesis for reminding us why the world is a better place without Saddam.)

Actually, there were five of us there (that I know of). Amerigomag was there earlier and I was late so we didn't hook up. At Bay was leaving just as we arrived. He knew they had it in for him, and being a gentle peace loving man, didn't want to risk another incident. Chris, Sheila and I stayed for most of the rally until the peaceniks started drifting away. Looked to me like most of them were pretty bored after the near riot was put down. Really wasn't much of a rally. I guess the incident with At Bay was their high point and it all went down hill from there. I reckon they'll be talking about the "unfairness of it all" for years.
The rest of our local FReepers were at other events, out of town or otherwise couldn't make it.
