Did they say he might need extensive surgery, is that why he's so worried? It's a slow-growing cancer, so I bet will be OK.
Praying that he gets out of there ASAP, and they can do the surgery at WR right away when he gets there.
If Brandon isn't sleepy . . . cold medicine and a nice drink does wonders (cold medicine for him, drink for you)!
Have fun!

No, they really didn't say how extensive the surgery will be...after the minor surgery Tues it's about the size of a dime, he said...so how big or how deep it is he doesn't know...but, the doc said it is basal cell and not to worry, they just have to get it all and repair the incison....I don't think he has too much to worry about...a plastic surgeon should be able to fix it, even if they have to do a skin graft.

The most important thing is that once it's gone it will be GONE and cured. Maybe he's worrying about his face instead of worrying and thinking about his troops? I guess I'd be worried about anything on my face too. He'll be OK. Like you said, even if it requires plastic surgery, it will be OK. Are you getting excited to see him?

This is sheer torture! I'm watching CSPAN waiting to tape the rally in Orlando yesterday . . . but you know what face is on first. I don't want to taint my tape so don't want to record . . . but have to watch so I don't miss any of the President . . . .
Hope everyone had a good and restful day.

Did anyone listen to leslie stahl interview richard clarke re; President Bush's fight against terrorism? What a horrid hatchet job done by Clarke. Supposedly Clarke knew that Alquaeda was going to attack but no one at the White House would listen to him. Yet I don't recall Stahl asking Clarke about his 8 year tenure with Clinton. Sshh!!!

I usually don't post on the Canteen--takes too long to load. I just got "pinged" to a prayer for a sick baby and saw the telemarketer comments.
I'm already too addicted to the Dose--don't need any more excuse to spend more time on the computer . . . :-)
I'm so glad you had a good visit with your dad! Does that make up for some of the hard ones?
We had a nice sunny day, but it was chilly. Haven't heard the weather forecast for here. . .
Chicken fried steak . . . YUM!!!! One of mr. h's favorites, but such a mess to make . . . when I make it I make a bunch and then freeze it. How do you make it?

I use cube steaks.. and dip 'em in egg and then flour them, and fry them up!
I make the "cream" gravy to go with them, too!
The good visits DO help....

I dip mine in egg, then seasoned flour, then egg again, and then bread crumbs, then fry it. Then I bake it with gravy and onions. Like I said, I try to make a bunch at once and freeze them. Then I'm a hero when I "make" them after he has a really bad day . . . :-)

Awesome First pic. I missed the speech, but I heard it was phenomenal.
This President is out standing firm and working hard, while Kerry is working hard to try and stay standing up. I have a feeling we're going to see the best of Dubya 'live and uncut' as the election continues to unfold.

That is so awesome that you got to see the speech live and in person. I bet the electricity in the room was unbelievable.

and then the President's rally in Orlando wasn't even on!!! Okay so it wasn't just me either? I had my brother flip it to cspan every half hour to see if it was on, and I never saw it. I thought that maybe I had somehow missed it. Cspan does a good job of NOT showing the President.

The weather here hit triple digits. Looks like spring got bypassed and summer is here early! :) But I'm headed back to school tomorrow (Spring Break is over) where the temp will be about 30 degrees cooler. Not quite ready for summer just yet.

Well, all the way to the end and no one to talk to.
If there isn't a Dose in a few minutes, I can post today's pictures on this thread, if there aren't any objections.
