Oh, it gets better. Tomorrow, I'm gonna tackle the floor under the refrigerator! Wish I didn't stuck working tonight or I'd be doing it right now. I can hardly wait!

Of course, my hubby may decide to redo the kitchen electrical and lock me out of the kitchen. What'll I do then? Well there's always the linen closet.

Was the enthusiasm and energy at the rally as intense as it seemed on television?!

I just loved the President's introduction -- turning off the general lighting while keeping spotlights/lasers on the flags, then raising the lights as the President 'unexpectedly' enters thru the crowd rather than the formal entry. The crowd reaction, the music, the LOVE was AWESOME! I get pumped just thinking about it!!

Thanks for posting this tonight, I got to see the replay of the Campaign Rally on C_Span at 6:00 Pm Est, and The President and Mrs. Bush did great, Dubya was in his environment and he really knows how to inspire optimism and hope, along with exposing the drastic difference between himself and the Flip Flopping Liberal from Massachusetts

This is so typical of them. Do nothing, but then blame the next person for their failure

I forgot the guy on Fox who said today re: Richard Clarke,
isn't he also trying to push his book and making money off
of what happened. I thought spot on.

Also just heard, Teddy "manslaughter" Kennedy is on Meet the Press tomorrow. I guess they have to have him on in
the AM before the shakes are to much.

too many people have relationships/marriages of convenience and not deep affection/love. These two have "it"

THANKS FOR POSTING THE FLIGHT SUIT PIX -- my Saturday evening is now complete!!!

Hope you're feeling better! And, yes, we must work tirelessly to deliver Ohio for the President in November!!!

[Sean Hannity was in Cincy last evening and really rallied the troops -- about 3,000 of us! His book tour has really become a 'get out the vote' drive for the President -- God bless him!! I think he was in Dayton today conducting a similar 'rally'!

Next Saturday, the Bush-Cheney campaign is coming to Clermont and Hamilton counties to conduct volunteer training sessions -- hubby, friends and I will be there ready to do WHATEVER IT TAKES!!]

Here's all you need to know about the new NEWSWEEK POLL (as posted on another thread earier today):

1.) It's a 'quickie' 2-day poll vs the more RELIABLE 4-6 day poll -- the latter polls ALWAYS put the President's approval rating at 50% or above [think Annenberg, NPR, and Rasmussen]

2.) This poll surveys 1,000 ADULTS with a subset of REGISTERED VOTERS -- 'Adults' are the LEAST reliable predictors of electoral behavior; 'Likely Voters' the MOST reliable predictors. [NOTE 1: Using a 'subset' typically increases the margin of error by at least 1.5 - 2 points. NOTE 2: Annenberg's survey of 'adults' has the LOWEST margin of error among ALL pollsters at +/-2 -- its 3/15/04 poll put the President's APPROVAL RATING AT 55% among adults-- where it has been since November!!!!]

3.) As the Republican pollster for National Public Radio indicates, MOST pollsters (including Newsweek) give Democrats a 3 - 6 point advantage in their sample. So, when you analyze Newsweek's results, simply add 3 - 6 points for a more probable approval rating: 51% - 54%!

4.) A President's approval rating typically reflects voter opinion of the economy at a particular point in time and nothing more. In fact, for every president other than GWB, a president's approval rating has always been within 2-4 of the 'right direction' indicator. Currently, most polls put the 'right direction' number at 38% -- the fact that GWB's approval rating remains well above 40-42% is amazing by any historical standard!

5.) The only Newseek results worth contemplating are as follows:

Head-to-Head Match-up [to observe trends for this poll only]

3/18-19/04 GWB 48% Kerry 48% (tie)
2/19-20/04 GWB 45% Kerry 48% (-3)
2/05-06/04 GWB 45% Kerry 50% (-5)

[The President is trending higher even in a poll that oversamples Democrats!]

The President's FAVORABILITY AND LIKABILITY ratings:
-- 52% favorable (Kerry 51%)
-- 69% like him as a person (vs 60% for Kerry)

Says what he believes vs what he thinks people want to hear:
-- GWB 62% Kerry 45% (+17)

Is a strong LEADER:
-- GWB 67% Kerry 55% (+12)

War on Terrorism/Homeland Security
-- GWB 56% Kerry 35% (+21)

Iraq
-- GWB 53% Kerry 38% (+15)

Economy
-- within 1 point of a statistical tie: GWB 43% Kerry 47%

BOTTOMLINE: Even Newsweek's left-leaning quickie poll of 'adults' seems to indicate that unless the economy tanks, the President's likability, strong leadership skills, and trustworthiness/steadiness relative to the War on Terror/Homeland Security will WIN the day in November!

Night all!

From today's kickoff in Florida:

"I'm looking forward to this campaign ahead. I'm going to give it my all.  And I'm counting -- I'm counting on you all to do the same.  Talk to your friends; talk to your neighbors; get out the word; ask people to join our cause to participate in democracy. With you at my side, there is no doubt in my mind we're headed to a victory on November the 2nd.

Thank you for coming. God bless. Thank you all. "

Time to go to work...

I went to a Rally for our Troops today..
It was awesome!

The Troops? Hmmm...I'm sure there's something in here about the Troops. Oh yeah, here it is...

"Our men and women in the military are taking great risks and they're doing great work.  At bases across our country and the world, I've had the privilege of meeting with those who defend our country and sacrifice for our security. I've seen their great decency and unselfish courage. And I can assure you, ladies and gentlemen, the cause of freedom is in good hands. "
