And look at this "huge" protest:

"About 250 people shouted and waved signs in front of the Torch of Friendship in downtown Miami, saying the United States should pull out of Iraq and bringing American soldiers home.

Other rallies took place in the Tampa Bay area, and about 80 people protested the war and President Bush's handling of the economy and environment at his Orlando appearance Saturday."

http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/news/state/8237406.htm

Miami-Dade county has over 2 MILLION people -- and all they could get is 250 protesters!!!

ROTFL

Sounds like a real big flop to me -- the media is just trying to play it up.

""is about uniting everyone. ... We want peace."

Probelm here is they are the minority...

When they say 'peace', they don't really mean 'peace'. Nor do they really want to 'unite everyone'. They want power for the left, and as much dmamge to the US as they can do.

Those protests don't sound "huge" to me! Yet more liberal media spin.

"Its amazing to see to what length these people go to protect a dictator"

Drudge has a picture one of the protestors was carring. It was Bush in a Third Reich uniform. As much as these protestors loved Saddam wouldn't they consider Hitler to be a hero? I am supprised they do not compare Bush to Eisenhower.

Anti-war activists gathered in Fayetteville, North Carolina, home of Fort Bragg, one of the biggest U.S. military basis. Soldiers, veterans and local residents staged two counter-demonstrations, but there were military veterans and families among the anti-war groups.

The counter-protestors couldn't even get one full sentence of coverage in this report. Talk about bias!

What's the chance the "journalists" doing the estimating are the same that estimate the "million-man-march", or "million-mom-march" or "million-youth-march" I think the largest of all of those pulled about 12,000. I guess the public school systems don't really push the extra "zeroes" that are needed, huh?

According to the organizers of the New York march, as quoted above, they're estimating the protests as being 100,000. The news report on the local channel here said it was 30 to 40 thousand, and that still seemed very high from the clips of the crowd I saw. Million moron math it is!

Oh Please !!! 30-40 thousand, my arse!! I agree, I'd love to be able see the mainstream media SLOWLY pan the crowd and see if they actually repeat camera shots to make it look much larger!!!

Not like it hasn't been done before...

I just finished watching CrossFire on CNN (a repeat from yesterday, I think.) Barney Frank was on, and one of his comments started with, "The WMD that the Bush Administration said were there...", implying that everybody else (like Barney) KNEW there weren't any WMD.

He was trying to make a point that we should not have gone in, but the real point of his statement is that Barney Frank makes himself look like a liar and a hypocrite when he makes statements like that.

And so do all the other Democrats that use the same party line. This coming election is a contest between hate rhetoric and doing the right thing. And if we care about the results we have to do what we can to make this clear to the voters.

He said he supported troops going into Afghanistan to fight al Qaeda militants responsible for the attacks, but not the invasion of Iraq, which Bush ordered to rid the country of its purported weapons of mass destruction.

The left has perpetrated this lie that they supported the war in Afghanistan. They did not, they were protesting Afghanistan before we even moved into Iraq. Of course, protesting the war in Afghanistan would not be politically expedient, thus they have been trying to pass themselves off as supporters of the "War on Terror" but not the "War in Iraq".

March 3, 2002: Up to 20,000 march against "War on Terror"
http://www.peacenews.info/news/article/29

London: A lively, diverse and determined gathering of 20,000 marched through central London on 2 March, in the third major national anti-war demonstration since the US and Britain launched the military assault on Afghanistan on 7 October.

The demonstration, organised by the Stop the War Coalition and backed by CND, heard Stop the War Coalition convenor Lindsey German say:

"The ever-expanding war against terrorism is a war of lies and hypocrisy. Events in Afghanistan and elsewhere, not to mention George Bush's frightening axis of evil speech, have confirmed many of our worst fears.

Bush and Blair claim that they must attack Iraq in order to eliminate weapons of mass destruction, but it is the US and its allies which have repeatedly deployed weapons of mass destruction from the sanctions against Iraq that have taken hundreds of thousands of lives to the 'daisy-cutters' that have rained death upon Afghanistan to the space-based nukes of NMD that now threaten our planet.

Indeed. The problem is that so many of them are simply angry. Look at the World Social Forum: it is composed of hard-left groups, pacifists, anti-semites, and other folks. They have the time and, thanks to a $1 million contibution from the Ford Foundation, the money to do these things. Why don't conservatives around the world take some of their free time and coordinate action? We have vacation time and disposable income. Isn't a small sacrifice of time worth saving individual liberty, personal responsibility, and free markets?

Good show! We should be able to muster twice as many if we got off our arses and coordinated action. We can gain press attention because we actually know how to have fun without being heavily stoned.

"space-based nukes"

What in the Sam Hill is this twaddle? If anyone place nukes up their, how would these idiots know it and not the Big Boy governments of the world? This sounds like some of the goofy lies created by Greenpeace and the Usual Gang of Idiots. Remeber when Greenpeace was caught staging a seal clubbing? An icelandic Greenpeace opponent videotaped Greenpeacers paying some guys to club seals and claim that they secretly taped a group of seal hunters.
