any additional information about what was said during this interview, I could not listen this AM.

Monica has the John Batchelor slot plus her own for the next week, so she will be on 9PM-1AM every night this week, she may talk about this again, lots of air time to fill.

OK. Help me out here. If he resigned at or near the very time that one kook called for these assassinations, and that crazy idea was also rejected by all of Kerry's group, how does that hurt him? It would seem to me to show that finally Kerry had exercised at least a little bit of sense.

But it has been discovered that Firing Line was taped about a week before the KC meeting; it was just aired during the meeting.

He was the leader of a meeting at which they took a vote to assassinate United States senators. That is conspiracy, a federal crime. I have no doubt that he voted no and then quit. But he had an obligation to tell the FBI that there were some in his group who may want to murder elected officials. Just voting no and quitting isn't good enough, particulary by someone who is in the senate and wants to be president.

The one glitch is that Kerry supposedly was on Firing Line with Buckley (IIRC) during the same timeframe.

I thought I heard that was pre-taped and run 3 weeks later, will go see what I can find...

He SAID he resigned...but there is evidence that he was still associated with the group as late as 1973...

That is true, the show was taped a week or more in advance. [When I originally made my post, the timeframe was at issue. Someone else later posted that Firing Line was taped earlier.]
