[You're experiencing it.]

If Bush's plan were in effect we would be well on our way to drilling for oil in American territory and at least lowering our need for middle eastern oil.

The major difference between the Presidents plan is that it recognizes the oil has to come from somewhere, the Democrats assume it comes from the same place all the rest of their mindnumbingly ignorant lying promises they make on the campaign trail. Out of the thin freakin air, They fly around in their airplanes and drive their limosines and SUV's. They block every effort to come up with a energy strategy or drill for domestic oil, then they whine about outscourcing jobs.

Well let me tell you something American oil companies drilling on American soil hire Americans.

Mexico has the second highest oil reserves in this hemisphere --- we should be getting something in exchange for all the jobs and money we send --- and they should be paying for the costs of their citizens --- healthcare, education etc --- they've got plenty of oil and ability to pay.

Not if there's cheaper (guest worker) labor available they won't. But that doesn't guarantee lower energy prices...

If American companies hiring Americans meant lower prices/higher profits we wouldn't have outsourcing.
