I'll never forget the horror I experienced one night. I had fallen asleep with FOX news on and hubby was out of town. I woke up to sirens and a commotion on the television. The TV said the sirens were a chemical attack warning. A soldier was gasping for breath and trying to get into his gear. His breathing was terrible. It kept getting faster and faster. He slumped below the sight of the camera. It was horrid. I was watching a soldier being gassed to death on television. Another soldier popped in and out of the scene. It was Ollie North. He was excited and out of shape (compared to the young soldiers). He wasn't dying, he was just old. The attack, as you know, was not chemical. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry from relief when Ollie explained that he needed help getting into the chem suit.
