I'm sure there plenty of people just a smart and just as evil as OBL, but these guys are claiming to derive their power from Allah. If they are taken down, particularly if they are taken alive, what does that mean?
That's a great point. I wonder why no one in the media will make it?
I can think of one reason: fear. The members of the "punditocracy" are afraid that, by making such an obvious and devastating point, they would be in personal danger from some local islamofacist with a gun or a bomb.
I think one (of the many) reason(s) why the media is so biased against W and the US in general is they know we won't dispatch an assassin to take them out personally if they speak out against us. Not so with the other side.
