"Everyone in this town is anti-Bush," Barrett, a Junior Olympic skier, said between runs. "He's trying to destroy our planet."

More like "Special Olympics" skiier, but I don't want to insult the legitimately and biologically developmentally disabled.

Wow, if someone w/ photoshop skills put wings and antenae on that pic, he'd look like a pretty butterfly, flitting from issue to issue w/ no sense of direction.

(Maybe I just made the coffee a little strong this morning!)

I can see it now - Kerry would be the first President to get an FCC fine for his State of the Union Address....

Hmm, pretty and every hair in place, Tay, knows better than to get in his way and does her own thing. Johnny's going to fall hard one day very soon but will blame it on someone else. Bet he was a spoilt little bRAT as a kid, too.

Buyer's remorse. But the New York Times will endorse Kerry, of course.

You're right his handlers are idiots. I think that picture of Flip-Flop snowboarding on the bunny slope will be like the picture of Dukakis (sp) in the tank was. The majority of voters will see it and think - What a goofy Dork he is.

His next trip down, a reporter and a camera crew were allowed to follow along on skis — just in time to see Mr. Kerry taken out by one of the Secret Service men, who had inadvertently moved into his path, sending him into the snow. If this is reported correctly, it is Kerry's fault anyway. If the Secret Service agent was "in his path", it was Kerry's responsibility to avoid the downhill skier. The way to write this is, "Kerry hit the agent". Or "Kerry was too poor of a skier to avoid the agent in his path"...

This is Mr. Kerry's first week with his wife away from the hurly-burly, as he calls it, since late August.

This is a nice little sentence, mocking Kerry's speech pattern. HA!

Mr. Kerry arrived Wednesday night for a full week of rest and relaxation, and a rare bit of privacy with his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, at their high-altitude retreat.

The Senate is still in session, I guess John doesn't care about showing up for work.

Yes. I have a guess about why the reporter chose to cover this story the way he did.

When asked about the mishap a moment later, he said sharply, "I don't fall down," then used an expletive to describe the agent who "knocked me over."

Notice the story doesn't say WHO asked Kerry about the fall. I'll bet it was this very reporter who asked Kerry about the Secret Service guy incident. But I'll bet he said something like, "Are you okay after your fall?" and Kerry didn't want it characterized as a failure or fall so he flips off the reporter and says his line. This probably ticked off the reporter enough to show Kerry as is instead of the usual NYT puff piece.

Old Swish Lurch John Fing Kerry went after Vice President Chaney after his outstanding speech two days ago and said in an email to his campaign headquarters that the Vice President was responsible for not getting Saddam at the first Desert Storm dustup. Does anyone including the asstute Kerry know why????? The United States had a U.N. mandate to not go to Bagdad after him, only to keep him within his own borders . Yea....apparently Kerry doesn't know what his U.N. buddies were doing back then, even though he was in Congress. It is kind of like his lacking voting record.....minus! George Bush I did not break his orders from the U.N..so Kerry is full of s...!!

Translation:

We had to get him away from the microphones before he made another stupid statement.

Too bad they didn't get him far enough away before he called his protection an expletive.

The "image-conscience candidate" with the "lanky frame" and his "weathered old snowboard". The New York Times is dong what they can for his image. But who is going to buy this crap except their own choir.

This just reinforces to me what an absolute phony this guy is.

"Who pays for his security?
Is it covered by the taxpayer because he's a senator?"

They had a blurb in yesterdays Idaho Statesman about who is paying for his security. Just scanned the article but it looks like they were saying that the federal money wouldn't cover all of his protection so the state was going to have to pick it up....if this is the case...this PISSES me off as a taxpayer here in the lovely state of Idaho...anyone know the rules and regulations concerning this?
