A couple of those guys are kind of WHITE for Pakistanis! Third from the bottom looks American to me.
Lots of Pakistanis are very fair-skinned. In fact some Pathans/Pushtuns are fair-skinned, and you even find some redheads and blonds in Afghanistan.
There have been public statements that certain technical intelligence specialists are assisting Mr Musharraf's forces. (Statements by both American and Pak officialdom). Those sort of people will not show up in any press photos.
In the main this is not only a Pakistani show, it's predominantly a local-militia show. The Paks are treading lightly because the Pathans are always a problem. But they are also the guys that make the best sergeants and officers in the Pakistani Army! Go figure.
