I took the applause as being on Terry's side. He said he didn't know what the state chairman had done (contrasted with the accusations he recapitulated from the Washington Post), and thanked Gillespie for bringing the State CHair's e-mail to his attention.

That's great news. Tom Daschle must be deeply saddened. He's been keeping an awfully low profile hasn't he? Is there some animosity between him and Kerry perchance?
To: Cboldt
I think you're right about the applause. Sigh

Maybe it was when after Ed handed him the email copy, Terry said he wished he had his glasses.

I missed Jerry, too many things going on at the same time! I did hear him sub once before, he seems like a natural in the format.

Tom Daschle has been out in South Dakota quietly praising the war on terror and the tax cuts :-)

Maybe it was when after Ed handed him the email copy, Terry said he wished he had his glasses. Could have been. I wasn't watching at the moment, just listening. It's not all that important anyway, just an indicator of the political inclination of that particular audience.

Did anyone catch, that at the end of the debate there was a small note on the screen about CSPAN airing Kerry's 1971 testimony in front of the Senate tomorrow, Friday, but I didn't catch the time.
Could you please let me know, if you noticed it and the time.

I just woke up.
I watched the replay last night.
After a long, scary nightmare of gigantic, shiny nose pimples, I woke up to read the boards.
I couldn't stop staring at that thing!
You folks weren't kidding. I'm begining to wonder if it was something on purpose to try to bait our guy into saying something about it so McPimple could cry about it to the audience with something like, "See? You republicans have no issued, so you attack on a personal level."
I wouldn't put it past him.

I took it as the audience laughing at McAwful when he tried to say he hadn't seen what the Michigan Democratic HEAD sent out but he was sure it wasn't directly derogatory towards Busy.
Then Gillispe handed him the copy and the audience laughed at Terry for getting caught with his drawers down.

Thanks for the post.
Don't miss this, there should be some fireworks!
Not much fireworks, thankfully. The winners were Catholic U and the audience and maybe George S. It was a good listen, instead of the usual bunch of overshouting loudmouths.

I got a good laugh that McAwful is on the left hand side of the picture, and to denote this, they put (far left) into the text description. Understatement of the year... BWAHAHAHAHAHA - excellent!
