Anti-gun reporter exposed for having a concealed weapons permit!

Most disturbingly, the increase in carry guns is further evidence that efforts to slow America's rush to become an armed society have largely failed. ... Common sense suggests that the more guns on the street, the more wrongful injuries and death." --Tracy Warner (Ft. Wayne, Indiana Journal Gazette; "Up in arms: Ohio joins states allowing concealed handguns"; Sunday, March 14, 2004.)

The very next day, in an article called "Licensed to carry", Indiana's competing Ft. Wayne News-Sentinel exposed Warner as someone who has a concealed weapons permit -- proving once against that many anti-gunners in positions of power are actually just hypocritical elitists of the "good for thee but not for me" variety:

"* Tracy Warner, editor of The Journal-Gazette's editorial page, which has traditionally supported calls for tighter controls on guns and opposed making it easier to carry the weapons."

[Click here to see it for yourself.]

Then here's the real kicker: Warner came out and tried to explain his hypocrisy: "Why I have a gun permit". In this hilarious rant, the little phony "reporter" says, among other things:

"Having the permit, I knew, would give me the option of carrying a gun should I decide it was necessary."

That's what the rest of us have been saying for years.

Helloooo?

My bet is that Mr. Warner will soon change his email address and phone number.

Any takers?

We have prison farms ALL AROUND our town and neighborhood. I am grateful for my rifle and shotgun anytime I hear about escapees.

Anti-gun reporter exposed for having a concealed weapons permit!

Ain't nuthin' like kickin' over a rotted-out log and seein' a hypocritical liberal reporter
slithering in a panic to get out of the light of day!

this is typical liberal elitism. They they know what's best for the common rabble, meanwhile they have different, secret standards for themselves.

Like Hillary moving from Arkansas to a walled-in billion dollar compound in Westchester pretending to know what's good for the working class people of NY. Give me a break.

Warner came out and tried to explain his hypocrisy

He seems to say:
"I had to get a gun and a permit...Damnit! But then, it's okay for me because I did it right. I'm not a gun nut"

"I wanted to have an option."

of living or dieing at the hands of an attacker!

Not an unreasonable option in my eyes.

Tracy Warner says, "I agree with gun control. Having a gun permit, by definition, is gun control."

(snip) "I'm not particularly proud of being a gun permit holder, but I'm not ashamed of it, either. Sometimes you do what you have to do."

Tracy Warner is editorial page editor of The Journal Gazette.

And like many members of the press, is a flaming elitist hypocrite.

(My email)

What a hypocrite! Another "anti gun for thee, but not for me" liberal. I suppose you feel you are so much better than the unwashed masses who don't need guns for protection, in your opinion.

So typical.

"Having the permit, I knew, would give me the option of carrying a gun should I decide it was necessary."

Yet you still enjoy the "option carrying a gun" that millions of other citizens are denied because of Hypocrites like you have supported gun control laws.

Your words are a real comfit to New Yorkers, I bet
