LOL, yeah, I remember reading about Ike's habit in Stephen Ambrose's book. Whatever he was smoking, I guess they passed it out to the troops.

"Apparently who micromanages "your" life is more important than the intrusion itself. How odd."Lol -- I guess as long as you are still able light up in the middle of WWIII, why should anything else matter?

Geez Tom, why would you get flamed for such a common sense, real people post?
Don't get me started on Clinton though. He's the only president in U.S. history to organize every facet of government to steal money for him and his gang.
We've had some crooks, some rubes, some babes-in-the-woods for presidents and we've had some good ones and some great ones.
Birry Krinton is at the bottom of the pile no matter how you count 'em.

Freedom matters. Why else fight?
I don't really care what accent the tyrant has.

Smoking helps non-smokers live longer. Off the top of my head, I can think of at least 30 people, over my lifetime, who I would have strangled had I not been able to take refuge in nicotine-induced meditation
Truth that bears repeating :)

Oh - and let's not forget the anal retentive huns that have the gall to create laws around cigarettes to demonize the smoker while they are inhaling prozac and force feeding their kids ridlin. Tobacco does not have the side effects of these drugs, but no one will speak about that.
I liked your entire post but was especially struck by this point....it so well describes the schizophrenic nature of our current society. Brave New World, Aldous Huxley, coming soon..

If the smoker is within range of a .50 cal sniper rifle, he/she is guilty as charged.

My 5 kids were born in the late fifties and the sixties and they don't smoke either, and they had 2 smoking parents.
The more cigarettes become "the forbidden fruit" the more kids will want them.
My 6 grandchildren have been told by their parents,non-smokers all, never to discuss Grammy's smoking because Grammy is old enough to do what she wants.Needless to say,my family makes me proud.

I'm coming THIS CLOSE to breaking some laws!!!!
I'd love to see the press reports when an old Grammy is put in jail for smoking outside and refusing to pay a fine.
Who says the Golden Years are dull?
