Agreed. AAAAHHHHNOLD should be on notice that this is a line that cannot be crossed. He should know that if he signs any legislation which in any way grants a CDL to illegal aliens no matter how many hoops they have to jump through, that the recall drive will start the very next day.
Keep in mind that this effort is not about Driver's licenses; It's about doing an end run around the Constitutional requirement for citizenship for VOTING vis-a-vis the Motor Voter Act.
If they get this through the with AAAAAHHHHHHNOLD's signature, it's all over for California---er I mean Mexifornia.

For anyone who is interested, there is a related article on FOX website, regarding infiltration and influence of local and state governments by an agency sponsored by the Mexican government and ordered by Vincente Fox, himself! Really scary stuff!

What that means is there's big money helping this. Perhaps a boycott might be in order.
This transcript appears on John and Ken's site; see this thread:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1100087/posts for more comments.
Just to reiterate what appears on that thread: Schwarzenegger himself hasn't made a statement on whether he's working with Cedillo. However, it doesn't hurt to give Arnold a call. Nothing anyone says will dissuade Gil Cedillo from his quest, so Arnold's probably the person you should contact.
Please contact Arnold and politely let him know what you think:

OK, so who's going to start the recall? That was going to be by question. If Arnold thinks he's going to get away with this, he's a lot dumber than I thought. I supported him because of his promise to repeal that idiotic license legislation, but I'll be the first to admit I was wrong about him if he goes ahead with this.

I heard on John & Ken today that if this bill passes and Arnold signs it, it's considered an "emergency measure" that goes into effect immediately (due to "dangerous roads") and it will be referendum-proof for TWO YEARS.
Must not happen!!! I hope Arnold realizes that if he signs it many of the Republicans who decided to give him a chance won't be voting for him again...
To: giotto
Seriously, though, shouldn't someone start a "RECALL ARNOLD"
thread so we could get the ball rolling? If we wait until the inks on the paper, it's too late.
They are putting and "urgency" clause in the bill which will immunize it from referendum. This is total sleaze. They know by at least 3 to 1 the people of California are opposed to this, so they are attempting once again to thwart the expressed will of the people.
The mere fact that the guv refuses even to comment on the urgency clause tells me that this goose is already cooked.
I think the only real arrow we still have in our quill is the Son Of 187 initiative which is in the works for the November election. Still needs several hundred thousand sig's to get on the ballot, though. It needs to get more publicity.

It probably means, Calif. taxpayers are going to be paying for illegals auto insurance.

Radio host: So, the governor's office is in agreement with not marking the licenses? Senator Cedillo: Yes, because he says, "Gil, I am an immigrant."
Damn, I thought he was the Governer,
Senator Cedillo: There are more than 70% of voters who today don't want to give any rights, privileges, or responsibilities...
"the governor and I want to give a driver's license to all the immigrants that live in California [and] work here, undocumented people, those who are in the process of legalizing their status. Everyone."
we want to give the same license that everyone has.
Thats so at the voting booths, no one can tell the voters ARE ALL ILLEGALS
Radio host: So, the governor's office is in agreement with not marking the licenses?
"Senator Cedillo: Yes, because he says, "Gil, I am an immigrant."
Radio host: And like you say, we have to hurry, otherwise John and Ken and other people who are against the licenses will win. When will you be able to present the bill [and get approval] on the California State Assembly floor?
Let's rush this through before the Californians can stop it.
Our state is being highjacked.

My concern lies with the [voters'] reaction in November. These people will turn it into a popular referendum.
To Cedillo, we are "THOSE PEOPLE"

Go to the website
http://www.Save187.com/ (the one this transcript from the radio show came from) and check out the info for a petition to
stop this bill. They need signatures for the petition.

Good idea.
To: singfreedom
Do you have a link? Better yet, has it been posted to FR?
To: misunderestimated
Already signed it. I just don't have several million dollars I can spend to override the partisan media and get the message out to enough people. This would/will pass overwhelmingly if enough people know about it.
