Another one? My friend from San Jose was just telling me about this the other day:

The California Highway Patrol says 26-year-old Christopher Charles Gafford has been arrested for a series of shootings that took place on Interstate 580 Feb. 23.
Arrest in I-580 sniper shootings (March 11, 2004)
A 27-year-old Stockton man was arrested Thursday and charged with eight counts of attempted murder in connection with a one-day spate of sniper shootings that terrorized drivers who use busy Interstate 580 in Alameda County.

I live in Cambria, about 2 hours north. The local (San Luis Obispo) NBC affiliate had a breif announcement that all lanes were closed (wasn't sure if they said hwy 101) near Goleta.

Time to declare "no bag limit" on whack-job snipers. If that doesn't work, start offering a bounty (dead only, head shot preferred).

You are welcome. I like Camarillo...nice place.
I love it here in Cambria, but can only afford to rent.....beautiful place, but VERY expensive.
Anyway, I'll post more info when I get some.

I'm in Ventura - small world! Hope this sniper is caught soon. The traffic's always bad enough from Goleta down to our area even without the threat of gunfire!
