And if there are serious enough federal charges against her, we can expect a "diminished capacity" type defense. Her lawyers and their testifying shrinks will convert her from the coldly calculating criminal she is into a hapless victim, all softy and fluffy. In that part of the state, the jury may very well go along with that and there will be many more of these incidents.
