One of my favorite home study projects is The Battle of Britain. There were several formed Polish Squadrons within the RAF. Three of these Polish Squadrons served during July-October 1940(Battle of Britain Period). Those Squadrons were 302, 303 and 306 Squadrons. 303 Squadron was named "Kocsiouko" and was the most successful RAF Squadron during the Battle, downing 129 Nazi planes during the Battle producing Several notable Polish Aces. Witold Urbanowicz with 17 victories, Jan Zumbach, Myslewki Feric,
One Czech Pilot, Josef Frantisek Also claimed 17 victories flying also with 303 Squadron in addition to fighting the Germans in Poland before being forced to flee under the Blitzkrieg. Poland has a great resistance to tyranny record, Free Polish fighting the Nazi's even After the Country Fell to them. Skalski was the highest scoring Free Polish pilot during WWII with 22 Aerial Victories against the Nazi's. Welcome Very Much to Free Republic and Very Best FReegards, Defender2 D2

Skalski was friend of my uncle in battle of Britain. Skalski wrote a book about Polish war with Germany. My uncle was in division 303. Later after the war he was humiliated and abounded by British people he left Britain and went back to Poland where he died in prison from communist. They treat him as traitor.
