Of all the potential First Ladies in recent history, she is certainly the most accomplished.
I thought the article would give some evidence of accomplishment, but I was disappointed. It tells who she is descended from, and who she married, and that she gets to dole out money made by other people.

Here! Everone can pick a favorite quote. One of mine:
Joel Cairo: You always have a very smooth explanation...
Sam Spade: What do you want me to do, learn to stutter?
(Just got the DVD of this movie, so had to jump in.)

She may be a bitch, but she is no maltese. They are beautiful, loving dogs.
Please note I used the word in context.^)

Mozambique certainly was no paradise after the end Portuguese colonialism. A 20 year civil war and various diseases like malaria and AIDS turned it into the poorest country in the world. Even now it's a socialist one-party state, ruled by law of regional commissioners. Lately it has recovered to show some economic growth, but is still desperately poor, and social structures non-existent outsdie of the capital city. I wonder how much Mother Theresa contributes to her former home country.

"Teresa was born in Mozambique in east Africa."Americans don't particularly like foreigners.
Since 9/11 they like them less.
Foreign born women are particularly reviled when they insert themselves into domestic politics.
It's not a very attractive attribute of our national character, to be xenophobic mysogynists, but the fact remains.
And I'm comforted by it.

Mentions the meeting was one of the CSCE... looked it up and the CSCE is...
As a substitute for NATO, one Soviet front group publication that the CSCE become the embryo of a new security system for Europe, rather than existing Western structures such as NATO or the West European Union. An article in the June 1990 issue of Peace Courier, the publication of the Soviet-controlled World Peace Council, stated, "The CSCE is the body which should develop the new security structure in Europe, while the existing military alliances should be allowed to wither away." In another variant, two Soviet generals suggested, in the October 1990 issue of Mezhdunarodnaya Zhizn, "a re-forming of NATO and the Warsaw Pact (while it still legally exists) from military-political blocs into a single Common European Security Alliance."
