To: Kerberos
A cross section of all of our kids get counted in these statistics. In most of the rest of the world, though, only kids who show an aptitude for scholarship get to move on to what we would consider "high school," all the rest get shuffled off to technical schools very early. Since they are unlikley to test kids in the technical schools over these things, one wonders if ALL of our kids are being compared to only the best of theirs.

Just a thought! I'm no authority, though.
