Thank you so very much for sharing your views and for confirming again that we are in agreement on such matters! Indeed, every conflict I thought existed between Scripture and science turned out not to be a conflict at all!

Nice list'o'links, but you're wasting your time:

Evidently, your behind the times, there was no survival of the fittest, that's dispelled, as well as the discovery that several species sprang into existance simultaneously, in staged life eruption events, for a better term.
You know like Genesis said it did? doh.

PH, thank you so much for the fascinating post! And for hosting this stimulating discussion. This isn't one of my threads, BB, but I'll eagerly take all the thanks I can get.

Very interesting! Thank you so much for the link!

I really don't know about ignorance so I can't really respond.
I do know however:Psalm 14:1a "The fool says in his heart, there is no God..."

God said he formed and created man from the dust of the ground. Does that sound like he was made from an amoeba? Christ rose from the dead on the third day. Is that God's day or man's? The Bible needs to be interpreted in and of itself and not separate it out. Six days is six 24 hour days. If a person can't believe that than they are placing limits onto what God can do.
To: CobaltBlue
Well, I didn't claim that *I* said it, did I? Besides, JP said it far more concisely than I could have ;)

I think there are all to many people who *want* faith and reason to be in opposition to one another, for some reason. And they exist on both "sides".

I do know however:Psalm 14:1a "The fool says in his heart, there is no God..."I did not mention God at all in my posts. I guess it's best we agree to disagree.

Six days is six 24 hour days. If a person can't believe that than they are placing limits onto what God can do.I believe exactly the opposite. I believe God made the world, but I'm not going to try to make His time fit with my expectations just because I know MY days are 24 hours. I don't know what His time frame was, or is, or will be in the future, I'm just enjoying His creation every day.

Seein' as longshadow was the only person to give you a
considered response, I'll add my 0.02...
You went to a great deal of time and trouble to assemble this extensive list of references for taxesareforever, but alas, you've encountered another closed mind which refuses to even look at the evidence accumulated.
I know your objective is to enlighten, but folks like this are terrified to come out of their little boxes of faith.
Good Heavens, Man...do you really want these people to realize that God created an even more wondrous Universe than they have imagined??? Nah, let's keep this little secret to ourselves. The rest can be amazed later...
To: RadioAstronomer
God was the basis of my whole discussion because without Him there would be no creation of which I was alluding to.
Thanks for the opportunity to discuss this issue and for being civil. Sometimes these can get out of hand, but it surely didn't this time. I appreciate that.
