President Bush welcomed dignitaries from Ireland, reaffirming the friendship of our two nations and celebrating the faith of St. Patrick, in Jesus, commemorated in both countries.
From Yahoo!: "The White House on March 17, 2004 backed plans to investigate allegations that the government's top expert on Medicare costs was threatened with dismissal if he disclosed higher cost estimates to lawmakers. During congressional debate on the bill in November, the administration embraced an estimate by the Congressional Budget Office that it would cost $395 billion in the first 10 years. The cost estimate was revised upward to more than $500 billion soon after the bill signing [on December 8, 2003]."
He is scheduled to visit Ft. Campbell on Thursday.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: The partnership of America and Ireland is close, it is lasting, and it is important to the peace of the world.
I look forward to this summer to visiting Ireland for the EU and U.S. Summit, to strengthen the essential partnership between the United States and Europe.

Just think..... trading Ms. Ketchup for Mrs. Bush. makes me want to cry. There just is no comparison. The ability to even land a wife like her speaks volums to G.W.s character.

FORGOT to include this under the presidential day summary.
"Mohamed ElBaradei, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), speaks to the press outside the West Wing of the White House, March 17, 2004 following a meeting with U.S. President George W. Bush . The head of the U.N. nuclear watchdog said on Wednesday it was regrettable that Iran had suspended inspections for several weeks, but was 'back on track' and fully cooperating with the agency."
