This socialist minded President we have in the White House thinks that we should spend $1.2 Billion on the United Nations to finance the contruction of a new headquarters building for the UN and a measly $10 million to protect our borders

Oh sheesh this has been discussed before. It is a loan with interest. The UN has been whining over it.

It's something called politics. The Bush administration looks good in that they aren't being mean to the UN, while the UN looks like the whiners they are.

Of course you would never notice any expertise in politics.

You only knee jerk and scream over how "betrayed" you always are.

Why should America guarantee the UN's loan? Those loan guarantees are valuable...that's why countries like Mexico, Israel and Turkey want them. Let france do it. Or a 'multi-lateral coalition' Or all the memebers of the security council. Whatever...financing the UN, whether by payment or debt, is not the US's responsibility.
