Could this picture have cost 200 deaths?

A woman hold a banner reading 'Could this picture have cost 200 deaths?' during a
silent march through central Barcelona March 12, 2004. Traumatized Spaniards
voted in droves in a general election thrown wide open by a new claim that al Qaeda
rather than Basque separatists was behind the Madrid train bombs that killed 200
people last week. (Albert Gea/Reuters)

This is like blaming "Polish provocations" for WW2.

It's sick and pathetic.

The interesting thing is that thespanish people will expect their new government to protect them and bring the perps to justice. I'm not sure that we can predict how this will go. We all assume appeasement, but it is possible that it will go some other way.

For example is perceived by us to be white flag wavers, but they have ticked off the Muslims by banning head scarfs in school. For the Talliwackers, that is as bad as anything america has done. Maybe worse.

At some point Europe will notice that black ants do not negotiate.

I wonder who they will blame when they are attacked after they pull their troops out of Iraq, release all the Al Qaeda operatives they have in jail, speak Arabic, and convert to Islam...

Whenever I see "useful idiots" such as these, I have this overwhelming desire to knock them down, and take a ball bat to their empty skulls.

I know... it's terrible to have such violent thoughts, but it's a visceral reaction, and just barely within my control.

The bill came due today but it's not Spain that got it. France got the bill for spanish capitulation in the form of demands that the headscarf ban is dropped.
