I would have left the clothes off and felt really, really guilty about it.
I seem to remember a story (possibly apocryphal) that somebody once asked Blessed Pope John XXIII what he would do if a pretty young lady presented herself for communion with a low-cut top, his response was along the lines of 'enjoy the moment, and go to confession later'.
