You might have noticed that my fondness for the King James has to do with its Old Testament background--the Ben Chayyim Masoretic Hebrew (1500s) edition (also known as the Bomberg or Second Great Rabbinic Bible). There is also less controversy and doubt for our Christian sect regarding the King James New Testament than in other source texts and those with heretical revisions.
