Oh boy. I do hope they got the right guy. I was nervous about having to drive to Columbus next week. Glad they got this nut.

They haven't gotten him yet. I think they are still looking for him but they have his picture and name.

I hope it is the right guy, but I think you are a little too worried about driving in Columbus.
I drive the south outerbelt of I-270 all of the time. Hundreds of thousands take that road every day without incident.

I have been driving through Columbus on the outer belt every day for weeks now coming from Chillicother to Newark. WNKO and WHTH in Newark are beta testing my new software.
The guy was shooting from overpasses. He only used overpasses that had little traffic because he had to stop on the over pass and then shoot at the cars. There are a limited number of overpasses with little traffic. If he used one with traffic someone would get his car and license number. Mostly the shootings have been on the south side of Columbus. There are more little used overpasses on that side of the city. But one of them was east of Columbus near Newark. That is where I have been going every day for weeks.
I watch every over pass as I approach it. If a car was stopped on one you can bet I would do a U turn faster than you can say THAT IS ILLEGAL.
For quite some time, I have noticed that by nearly every overpass that is not heavily traveled there is either a cop car or a Sheriff parked where he could see the overpass bridge.
For some of the most recent shootings the shooter has outside of Columbus a few miles. I have also noted that both the Police and the TV station Choppers have been in the air a lot more than normal.
But it does make you think. The funny thing is the outer belt has been just as busy as ever. Perhaps like me the locals have just gotten over being afraid.

I hope this is the guy too.
He's been expanding his territory, and it's a bit disconcerting.
I agree though, Nan.....no reason to stop traveling to Columbus.
