Rereading some of the posts here I don't call it imagination. I call it a sad state of affairs as to what the Republican Party has become. A man who through one movie has possibly introduced an entire group of people unreachable in the past to Christ and even reintroduced Christians (in my case I know this to be true) to the sacrifice Christ committed for us is a bit higher on my list than some world leader. He's not a saint in any form but his criticism of Bush is an opinion he has a right to and one as a conservative would probably agree with

That's right, but most on this thread have either stated that Gibson is entitled to his opinion or pointed out that the teaser on Drudge is most likely taken out of context and will wait to find out the entirety of what Gibson actually said.
Gibson made a magnificent movie and has my deep respect for making it and standing up to the media and hollywood. Most people here, as evidenced by this thread, can agree with Gibson regarding his film and disagree with him on politics, if it even turns out that he said what Drudge's headline implies.
