I don't think you can look someone in the eye in a teleconference. Cuz somebody is looking at a screen and somebody else is looking at a camera lens.

Ever do teleconferencing? You don't see anyone's eyes, and you don't look into anyone's eyes. At best, you look into a camera lens.
