Part of that included not using abbreviations or symbols in place of crude words (EX. H#LL). That thread was wonderful news to me, because I honestly believe profanity is not needed by FR members to make a point.

LowOil. If you'll just hit the abuse button on comments containing profanity, I've found that the Mods are generally quick to delete the offending posts. Hit the abuse button, enter "profanity" or some such, and click submit. Comment will likely be gone within minutes.

Enough comments get deleted then FReepers will begin self-policing their comments better.

It's also good if you copy/paste the offending remark, for any kind of abuse. That helps us quicky judge its relative urgency.
