That one is posted to the humor category of news. While it could have as easily gone in chat, it is not misposted

OK, now you've got me confused. So *anything* funny, even non-news-related, can arguably stay in News as long as it's confined to the humor topic?

This politically oriented satire post of mine -- which I put only in the 'humor' topic of News/Activism, if I remember correctly -- was quickly moved to chat. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1096265/posts. The same thing was done to another political post before it. I am fairly scrupulous about not putting posts in inappropriate categories. Should I have been posting those in 'chat' to begin with? If so, why is a list of humorous doctor misunderstandings more newsworthy?

I would like to be able to post from political blogs in News/Activism. Some blogs are banned to Chat/General Interest.

This is an evil mod conspiracy that demonstrates an sine quo non FR bias.

Unfortunately, since both the news forum and the chat forum have humor topics, either place could arguably be used for a humor post. Since humans are doing the posting and humans are doing the moderating, you may get a different answer for any given post.

In attempting to keep the news forum more about news it would be better if humor posts went to chat. There will always be exceptions or differences of opinion. If you feel your post is moved unjustly, contact us for a reevaluation

Thanks
