I support Bush, am a conservative.

unlike most conservatives, I know that the public is not conservative. I also remember how damaging all the Clinton conspiracy theories were to the right, in the publics mind.

I can bet that if Kerry wins. the right wil lbe as loony as the left is now.

This accusation may very well be true. The public wont buy it.

The right will be loony? Or conservatives will be loony? Or Republicans will be loony? Or paleoconservatives will be loony? Or neoconservatives will be loony? Or religious conservatives be loony? So many divisions. So little time to unite.

"unlike most conservatives, I know that the public is not conservative."

Speak for your self, sport.
But don't speak until you do a little homework; for starters, drag out that electoral map all done up in blue and red.
The Gallup polling organization for example describes the country as evenly split between conservative and liberal population-wise, with the liberals being pretty well concentrated on the coasts.

And in Austin...

Those 50 and older remember the radicalisms of that time well, and many down to 40 also understand what was going on then. If there is proof, then the older public definitly will buy it. It makes him unfit for office for anybody other than those involved in that radicalism of the time and never grew out of it.

The "right" has its negatives but being "as loony as the left is now" is a mighty big stretch. <8^/
