I visited with Kirby and also met and talked with Rusty for the first time - a nice guy and HARDWORKING! Morning show, syndicated show, and I'm listening to him tonight on Saturday Night America. Whew! Missed seeing you, Hoagy - God bless and may you all recover soon! :)

Thanks for posting pics. I came out today and stayed for a couple of hours. I should have been more pro-active about introducing myself...but that's just not me. I was going to stay for lunch, but at 12:15 felt my face turning pink. (Guess that must say something about being a NW'er if 2 hrs on a spring morning will sunburn me:)

I did see one carload of 20somethings in a Volvo while stopped at a light just poking their hands with a special finger waving...through the sun roof. But it was a feel good way to spend a morning. Honks too numerous to count. Waves as well. Many smiles on the faces of the troops. A few servicemen clearly mouthed "thank you". It was very touching that such a simple show of support was so appreciated.

KVI was there. I gotta wonder where Komo was? When I got home and watched the news there was plenty about the anti-war maggots but nothing about the people supporting our troops.

What a great day to stand tall for those fighting to keep us free.

As far as radio goes, in addition to KVI presence I saw a KTTH banner and a KIRO 710 SUV.

Regarding other media I saw a Tacoma News Tribune reporter (well at least someone with a press credential around his neck). And then three other clearly professional teams - two different video teams (Saw logos but was far enough away I couldn't read them) and one still photographer who was either a dedicated amateur or another professional who didn't have on a logo. I don't know how many didn't come, but clearly several did.

A photographer and reporter from the Olympian, my home town, was also there. They have done really good writeups on these rallies in the past. If they do so again, I will post a thread tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by Angelwood. American Sovereignty Defender drove down to video tape the America-haters and socilaists in downtown seattle. He should be able to post some of these "different" kind of pictures a bit later. He also videotaped our Hillarity's BooK Tour FReep. (The one where a "tolerant liberal" harangued and scared a fragile senior citizen.) I'll let you know if other pics come up. :) BUMP

I was on the "camp Murray/Galloping Gertie" side of the overpass very near the end on the south side. I'm a forty something female who should weigh lots less:)
