I'd say there's a good chance her friends don't know the real teachings of their religion. They have probably been listening to a leader who has distorted the koran to fit their views of what they want it to say. Much like priests, bishops, pastors etc. who condone unbiblical practices (abortions, gay marriages, family abuse....). Sadly, they are all lost and in need of prayer.
