The Enemy is now Within... and always has been.

Not quite a court reporter. She was the United Press International's Statehouse Bureau representative.
And there are a couple of interesting deaths, said to have been *suicides* dating back to Clinton's college days as well, back from just around the time he met his hippy chick activist future bride. Perhaps even then she had plans for him that required making troublesome witnesses go away.
Bill and Hil in New Haven, circa 1970.
He obviously had never seen a woman eat a live animal with her bare teeth.
Not necessarily. Remember that his grandfather had been an Ambassador to the Court of St. James.
...entering the Atlantic at around 500 mph, twice his plane's normal airspeed.
...Doesn't sound much like someone who was merely cruising off his course now does it..?
Well, I guess we could ask former Alaska Congressman Nick Begich and former Warren Commission member and senator Hale Boggs, whose Cessna was lost and reportedly never recovered over Alaska in mid October, 1972. But we'll need a Ouija board.
Interestingly, Boggs was running late for the trip that day, and helpfully an intern from the office of Arkansas Congressman Fulbright was reported to have helpfully drove him to the airport to catch the fatal flight. That intern's name was William Jefferson Clinton.
BTW, wasn't Imhofe chairman of the Intelligence committee?
BTW, wasn't Imhofe chairman of the Intelligence committee?
Indeed he was, as per his 1999 statement on the Senate floor. That name's spelled *Inhofe*, BTW.
And just as Senator Birch Bayh was also once the Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, when they were considering the Justice Department's *DeFeo Report* on DEA consideration of assassinations of foreign heads of state involved in narcotics trafficking, including Panamanian dictator Omar Torrijos, who died in a plane crash. But not until after the ink on the Panama Canal giveaway treaty was dry, and Bush I CIA agent Manuel Noriega was in position to take over as planned. Of course, the Army Intelligence investigation into wiretaps of phone conversations between Noriega and his pet US Congressmen remained classified as OPERATION CANTON SONG. But that was the least of Bayh's 1978 problems.
I took off from the same airport. Dozens of times I tried to make it by keeping land in sight, just like John John was doing. I tried different routes and altitudes. It couldn't be done at that time of day in those weather conditions.
Try it yourself. You can buy MS Flight Simulator for less than $50
The Vinyard may have been "lite up like a Christmas tree" --but that matters little if the visibility is that low due to haze and other factors. I have landed at Frankfurt International when it was "lite up like a Christmas tree" and I barely made it in there with Cat II procedures.
The stability of Piper aircraft is not in question--but when you lost situational awareness and have spacial disorientation in an aircraft without relying on your instrument, you get the "graveyard spiral"--which most investigators believe happened.
Even 5000+ hour instrument pilots have mishaps. JFK didn't even have the rating.
It was VFR (no marginal) (ceiling and vis clear and 8 stat. mi.)according to the FAA.
I have landed at Frankfurt International when it was "lite up like a Christmas tree" and I barely made it in there with Cat II procedures.
Question...Why were you using Catagory II procedures with Clear and 8 miles? You'd only use those if conditions were below Cat I minimums (DH on the glideslope, normally 200 ft. and 1/2 mile vis. or 3200 RVR) Nobody said being "lit up like a Christmas tree" would help in Cat II conditions.
JFK didn't even have the rating.
Didn't need one. He was in VFR conditions. But he did have the training. And the equipment to prevent the "graveyard spiril"...namely an autopilot. Take a look at the equipment he had at his disposal.

And he trained at Flight Safety, so I guarantee he knew how to use all that stuff.
I would be very interested in the source you have for this. There are several media reports on line that indicated it was otherwise.
The comment about "why would I shoot a Cat II with vis 8+ miles" is putting words in my mouth. I was disputing your assertion that because ground based city or airport lighting is lit up like a Christmas tree then all is well. That is a patently false assertion.
All the equipment in the world won't save an aircraft or pilot if you get disoriented.
Flight Safety is a good school. I believe JFK Jr did all he could become a proficient private pilot. But I have several dead friends who were the best of the best in T-38's with the best training in the world, and they are still dead.
Armed Services....the thing Mary Brown Roots pushed the hardest during her nasty little canpaign.
