Since September 11, 2001, our nation has gone through all the phases of mourning and introspection. We now look to the future and believe that the time has come to deal with the task at hand. Our military is doing its part in fighting terrorism around the world and we the people of the United States must do our duty as well. That duty being...vigilance at home.
To meet the challenge, FIT-AIM-ACT has formed the National Day of Vigilance Task Forcesm and the Task Force has established September 11th as the people's day of opposition to terrorism as a remembrance and tribute to the victims of 9/11. In 2004, the first annual FIT-AIM-ACT September 11th National Day of Vigilancesm will mark the beginning of the American people's annual rededication and commitment to year-round vigilance.
In addition, we are petitioning local, state, and federal officials to adopt our National Day of Vigilance. If successful, September 11th will be designated as the National Day of Vigilancesm created, secured, and initiated by the FIT-AIM-ACT Campaign. (
