Anheuser-Busch long had a problem marketing internationally for the earlier trademark registrations of the Czech brand, "Budweiser," the "er" meaning "of" the town of "Budweis."

While I won't say that Pilsner Urquell is the Stella Artois of a great beer-producing country, I won't say it's the best beer from the Czech Republic. It's the one you get here.

Heh, next time you're in DC, a trip to the Brickskeller is on me!

Stella Artois

Had some Stella down in Cayman this past summer. It was said that it was a the favorite amongst the divers. Anyway, damn fine beer. Wish I could find it here in Indy.

I leave for Prague next week. Staropramen is my current favorite but I hope to find a new one. PBR is the only domestic I will drink, Abita Turbo Dog is my Micro-brew.
