[history]
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger caused a stir recently when, appearing on late-night television, he said he wouldn't mind if the people of California voted to legalize gay marriage.
"I believe in domestic partnership," Schwarzenegger told host Jay Leno, endorsing the status-quo alternative to gay marriage. But, the governor added, "If the people change their minds and want to overrule that, that's fine with me."

Unlike you, I don't turn to bigger and more government agencies for every little possible perceived or imagined need. Have a good life, sucker!

I checked the status of AB 2600.
It's been introduced by Assembly Member Laird and referred to the Commissions of Nat. Resources, etc. in the California Assembly.
OK, so it's a lousy bill, I believe you.
BUT, WHAT IN BLAZES DOES IT HAVE TO DO WITH ARNOLD?!
Arnold is Governor of CA, NOT Dictator or King -- he has not control over the Legislature, which is predominently Democrat.
So why aren't you railing against the Democrats, instead of accusing Arnold of everything short of killing small children over something he has absolutely nothing to do with?
This is what totally blows your credibility.
If you had stayed factual over the bill, as Amerigomag, OK, we'll listen -- but your aim is not to present facts about the bill, but to rail against Arnold, yet again, WITHOUT A SHRED OF EVIDENCE that he has anything to do with this whatsoever.
What do you propose that Arnold do about it -- take his Terminator gun and "terminate" the CA Legislature?!
Arnold actually wanted to eliminate the CA Coastal Commission, but there was such an outcry from the liberals, he left it alone, because he has to keep his eyes focused on the big picture: getting CA's fiscal house in order and making it business friendly, such as reducing the Workers Comp -- on which he is working very hard -- working both with the legislature and also taking it to the people, in case the Legislature won't act.

You believe me but... My credibility is shot! Ok, whatever. We have been fighting an endless defensive battle all over the Sierra-Nevada with not only Liberal Dems, but Liberal/Moderate GANG-GREEN Repubs who worship at the Pagan alter of militant EnvironMentalism!
We have fled unto the mountains as our last stand for economic conservatism including property rights and free enterprise, believing we had a home in the Repub Party. We jumped on the Recall hoping against hope that it would be a major blow to the economic suffocators! But alas, Arnold has NOT discouraged our darkside forces one bit!!!
Now one of our favorite State Legislators for this huge region is feeling FORCED to put forth AB 1788 in a last ditch attempt to stem the flow without discouragement from Arnold, by at least giving localities the ability to "opt out" of the abomination submitted by Laird!!! This would never have occurred prior to the Recall we championed!!!
So whose fault is it that GANG-GREEN is now more emboldened in CA than Alqueeda terrorists after their victory in southern Europe? We want to have the same faith in Arnold as you, but we haven't a hint of his opposition to this out-rage against us... We never got a hint during his campaign, either!!!
We want more than a hint for gosh sakes!!! It's a huge factor in the State's economic recovery! There's more to recovery than the Gay Bay's SillyCon Valley for goodness sake!!! Please help us bring his attention to this before something really stupid happens to most of eastern CA, PLEASE!!!

Oh! And one more thing... I'm willing to predict that if EITHER of these bills are signed by the Governor, which he has already indicated he will do... The resulting threat to CA/American property owners in the Sierran region will DWARF THE THREAT THAT KLAMATH FALLS HAS FACED WITHIN THE NEXT DECADE!!!

BUT, WHAT IN BLAZES DOES IT HAVE TO DO WITH ARNOLD?! Arnold endorsed the concept in his environmental plan, and you know it.

Catching grief from Arnold's deluded supporters I see. Do you or any one else have a link to AB 2600 and/or 1788?
I still say Red will trade the California lands for a big chunk of the Tongass.
