You are so right about Iranian desserts. When we were in Iran, everywhere we went people had the most incredibly delicious cakes and pastries. In fact, the dinner parties people would throw were out of this world. I have never seen such hospitality in all my life. The women of Iran are real artists with food. Not only was it delicious, but they take such care with the presentation. The tables would be laden with several khoreshes(stews), polos(rice dishes with various ingredients), Kouftehs(stuffed meatballs) and dolmehs(stuffed vegetables) along with Sholezard(rice pudding with saffron and almonds) and everything would look like it came out of a magazine. The work required for a single dinner party took days of cooking and preparation and we were invited to parties like these almost every night. Am I making you homesick? I hope you will be able to return home soon for a visit at least, so, that your loved ones can shower you with all the affection that I know they will. Let us pray for a free, prosperous Iran soon.

Thanks - You do know your Iranian Cuisine.. You are lucky - eventually when Iran is free many Americans will be able to visit and experience it for themselves as well!
Thank you!
