Their profits in Asia are huge, as they make them there, with cheap labor and real estate costs, and they are more expensive too!

If this was a Republican, this would be a main talking point for Democrats and journalists. Alas, as Kerry is a Democrat, the public at large will never hear about this. It'd be a good comeback for Bush in a debate, though, when Kerry inevitably brings up outsourcing.

yes, we need to know if they make things that are made for the US or overseas.
There are plenty of Fords built overseas that stay overseas...
and lots of weird food products overseas made by American companies, that you dont see in the US

This is an interesting thread. I have a younger relative who said that a large percentage of the computer tech outsourcing jobs are from companies controlled by left wing CEOs, who donate big time to the Rats. It would be interesting if someone made a list for us to see how many outsourcing CEOs are elite rats.
In the meantime we can deal with Heinz.

So how do we find out just how many US jobs Heinz has outsourced? IOW what is their non-US employment?
Since 60% of their sales are abroad, I'd bet 50% of their employees are non-US. That's got to be tens of thousands of people.

Excellent Catch! Post this extensive list on billboards in major cities with the caption..."Everyone now knows your stance on outsourcing to foreign countries. What lie will you tell next?" Or you can have a campaign ad with a rolling list of these companies and super impose the above quote. Get busy Bush!

This is what Neal Boortz said the other day:
What is it that John Kerry calls American companies that outsource jobs overseas? Oh yeah ... I remember. They are "Benedict Arnolds." The CEOs of these companies are "Benedict Arnold CEOs." Very clever. That language plays well with the lower IQs of those who vote Democratic. Now .. what about H.J. Heinz? That's the company that John Kerry's wife owns. They have 79 factories where actual people work. Of those 79 factories ... 57 of them are overseas ... with overseas workers. Do you think John Kerry calls his wife a "Benedict Arnold heiress?"
I sent this to a dem. co-worker and he replied that she doesn't control the company and her dead former Republican Senator husband is responsible for the outsourcing. Just what is Te-ray-za's role in Heinz today?

Time to boycott Heinz!
I found a dollar store in Portland, Oregon that sells Heinz food products for only a dollar. Why pay full retail price for a product that was made overseas? Never again will I go to a supermarket and pay the shelf-price. Never again!

I believe that she is the biggest single person stock holder/owner in Heinz.
As such she controls the money doled out by the Vira Heinze Endowment foundation and the Howard Heinz Endowment foundation.
But who is the Tides Center? Known as the Tides Center for Pennsylvania, formerly the Tides Center for Western Pennsylvania, it is none other than a creation of the Tides Foundation and Center, headquartered in San Francisco, and two Pennsylvania-based foundations -- the Vira Heinz Endowment and the Howard Heinz Endowment-- chaired by Teresa Heinz Kerry, heir to the Heinz food company fortune and wife of Democrat presidential contender Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts.

BFD. If some you had your way, then no American company would have any locations, employees or business outside the USA. Did you ever stop to think these companies are producing products in foreign companies for foreign markets?
I worked for Heinz briefly after graduation from Duke University Fuqua School of Busioness (MBA). Subsequently, I traveled internationally as a Merchant Banker. I would give most anything I had to re-enter any business with an international flavor.
In fact, I am currently looking at several companies to acquire/invest in that source their products overseas. I make no apologies for the fact that certain prodcuts simply cannot be made in the US for a price that Wally-world customers want to pay.
The myopic narrow-minded nimwits simply amaze me.
Go ahead, flame away. Remember, I will not and do not make no apologies for my views. I am a business person that puts my own money on the line. I'm not in life to be a charity.

This just proves what phonies the 'RATs are: their candidate and his family are personally respoonsible for outsourcing, the chief complaint against the GOP, yet they care not a whit. Hyprocrisy defines each DEMOCRAT. They hate the rich, unless, of course they're contributing or are socialists, like Kerry. I know 'RATs don't have any capability of reasoning, but are they even human? I see nothing but vitriol, hate, and lies in their campaign.
