You can choose to believe the Bible. You can choose to disbelieve it. But you cannot say it says something it does not say. They do this with the Constitution all the time ("separation of church and state", anyone?). Doing it with the Bible is simply the logical extension thereof.

"...I've read the Bible, and I know you can find the clauses that go both ways," the first part of that sentence was canceled out by the second part ..

Has Kerry retired from the campaign? I've not seen his face since his Muslim friends blew up the trains in Spain.

Was it the blowing up of the train or the arrest of the spy who work for all those democrats? Kerry seems to be edging toward a meltdown soon. I hope there are cameras present.

It may be that Kerry has recently met an attrcative fairy with 800 million dollars and is considering discarding the Widow Heinz for an arrangement with the person identified only as "Bruce."

LOL - That's just too funny... and true.

It must be very difficult for Mr. Kerry to go through life with such a broken compass.

Huh? Kerry is nothing more than a snake oil salesman. He has a cure for what ails everyone, it seems.

Kerry is a lying piece of crapola. He says he read the Bible and still calls it ambiguous. He couldn't have read it. Anyone can read a book and not comprehend the meaning. Anyone can say they're a Christian and still not be one. That's between him and God. However, if one reads the Bible (and I doubt Ketchup man has), the many references to homosexuality being an abomination in the eyes of God are unmistakable, which leads me to believe that he's never really read the Bible.

The Bible seems clear enough. It's also clear how it has been traditionally read and understood for 2,000 years.
Oddly enough, this kind of thing results in part from the difficulty of taking "sola scriptura" too literally. It means that every morning you wake up free to interpret the written text from scratch, without according any authority to thousands of years of learned interpretation and disputes over every verse.

This is interesting a possibly a clue to Kerry's essential core. There is a desire not to be determined by any authority other than his own whim. This is the definition of arrogance: there is no higher authority. Thus the war was wrong, the troops were vicious criminals, the concerns about communists are shortsighted, the terrorists should only be treated as criminals not warriors against us, the constitution does not mean what it says, the bible does nto mean what it says. Those he disagrees with Kerry attacks their motives and character.
This is because Kerry has to escpae from anything authoritative which is cited in support of the position Kerry opposes. His method for dealing with authority is to deny that its message is clear and unambiguous. This is supposed to be nuanced intelligence. What it is precisley is sophmoric, the wise fool which St Paul describes.

"You can choose to believe the Bible. You can choose to disbelieve it. But you cannot say it says something it does not say." Deviates and Democrats can and do.
Oppps, bit of journalistic license there, as aren't they one and the same?

There was an article recently claiming that Sodom and Gomorra were about abuse of power, not sexuality. This is one of the reasons I have started rejecting any claims the gays make out of hand. No benefit of the doubt for these folks.
