**Channel 8 (there) is covering scene live now. Also CNN carrying story on banner now.

**That "...Fire still burning. Roadway buckled, part of northbound lane has collapsed. Tanker was carrying heating oil. Oil getting into Cedar Creek. Road will be closed at least for days, probably weeks."

**That the entire section on both sides will be closed for days.

**Another poster is saying the entire structure may collapse... that an oil fire shouldn't melt steel as this is doing. References to 9-11, etc.

Huge tanker accident has Route 95 closed
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

(Fairfield-AP) -- Route 95 in Fairfield is closed both ways due to a rolled over tanker truck that crashed with two vehicles.

State police have shut down the highway southbound from exits 26 to 25 and northbound from exits 25 to 26.

A bystander to the scene says flames are shooting up to 50 feet in the air and licking a highway overpass.

He says several explosions were heard, and people were running from their cars to escape the flames.
