Makes me feel better if you are not alarmed. Good to know you guys are watching that place.

Mamma D had questions concerning campers in that area. Do you know if any are allowed?

Depends upon the definition of "area". There are no campground in Norris that I can remember. Winter is VERY cold and few would be camping there anyway. Generally the park svc keeps active hydrothermal areas under close control as to access, etc, because there are too many stupid people out there.

Thanks Letiring. Yes, I still wonder if campers are allowed near that area. Does this phenomena typically occur in certain areas (say gullys or low-lying areas)? Thanks.
