It's funny you said that, I have been reading a lot of the public remarks John Kerry has made since the mid 80's and I think I know why he is such a flip flopper. It's simply because John Kerry can never admit he is wrong, he simply refuses to accept it, and like a teen age child, he responds to any and all criticism of his actions by ridiculing the accuser. His favorite response has been...."You obviously don't know what you're talking about, Go back and read what I said on the Senate floor and you will see that I was very clear", yet nothing John Kerry ever said in his career has been either clear or principled.

John Kerry is simply afraid of having to admit he is wrong, and he goes to great lengths to make sure he never makes a principled or clear stand on any issue in order to shelter him from that possibility
