I guess the city of Charlotte, NC, (and probably a whole lot of others) should be in trouble, too. It was just confirmed this week by a local talk radio host that there is, indeed, a steel girder from the WTC that was obtained by the city and is on display as a memorial.
Now the big question is whether we jail the mayor, the City Council, the City Manager, or the whole populace for this outrage.

When are we going to see a "Free The Steel Girder" march on Charlotte?

Things like family photos and other similar type family memorbilia are naturally worth keeping. But these things are only worthy to ourselves and no one else. But artifacts from events like 911 are a whole nother matter. If it ain't evidence, then it needs to be destroyed.

"Do you think Kerry has forgotten? "
Kerry believes that Bush exaggerates the threat of terrorism. So no, I don't think he ever heard of 911.

Oh my God... Drudge has this as his main headline now?
Um, guys, you know what? I've been thinking this for a while, and it's about time I came clean. I don't think Drudge is even remotely conservative. I have never read anything on his site that makes me think he is. At best, he's an equal opportunity smearer, and 9 times out of 10 when he's smeared the Democrats it's been more embarassing or damaging to Republicans than to Democrats.
Course, I think the same about O'Reilly. To me, the funniest thing to do is watch how they hate each other... war of the RINO's.
Quite frankly, I think Drudge deserves a Zot.

Because in the now and in the future these artifacts will be bought and sold. Somehow, there's something about my human nature that tells me this is/would be a disgrace to those we lost.

But many will use these artifacts properly. Do not be so hasty to paint such broad strokes.

ummm...you know what? I've been thinking the same thing about Drudge - been wondering why the media calls it a conservative website.
To: Spruce; _Jim
Imagine muhammed hakim alshada over in terror land wants one for his desk. Imagine muhammed hakim alshada has millions to spend for an artifact. Can he get one?

Well, I did grant that he was an equal opportunity smearer... which compared to the mainstream media IS conservative. With them, the smears go only one way.

Proper use? Now what is proper? A girder of steel from one of the buildings planted in downtown Charlotte?
Let the record show that a memorial is being built on location to remind us all and all future generations.

Proper. Such as a father passing that relic to his son and explaining what it is. Or maybe the mother that keeps it on the mantle as her kids grow. Maybe it's the marine that jams a chunk of it up some jihadists butt. I ain't gonna stop them.

sounds like to me your guy kerry has certainly forgotten. he claims that any Bush ad talking about 9-11 is an attack ad against him. I listen to this weasel and he has completely forgotten about what happened on 9-11. when President Bush brings is up he accuses him of using it for politcal purposes, well HELLLLLLLLOOOO. We must never forget or 3,000 more will die here on our turf. But unfortunately people like have become complacent since 9-11 since your personal life had NOT been affected. WE MUST NEVER FORGET and we won't but kerry has.
